1. What We're Doing For You

Number of LIRs: 23,794 (-585)
LIRs with IPv6: 16,062 (-173)
IPv4 Addresses Transferred in November: 990,720 (+326,528)


-- RIPE 82 will be Virtual
The RIPE Chair, Mirjam Kühne, announced that RIPE 82 will take place as a virtual meeting because the situation around COVID-19 is still too uncertain:

-- RIPE 81 Meeting Statistics
We’ve published a Tableau dashboard with some key stats from RIPE 81:

-- European Union Legislative and Strategic Proposals
The European Commission recently published a number of new proposals relating to the digital economy, which includes the Digital Services Act, the Digital Markets Act and a revised directive on Network Information Security.

While we will be making an assessment of what this all means for the RIPE NCC and our operations, we recommend that you look at these proposals to assess their impact on your own business.

We will provide further updates to the RIPE Cooperation Working Group regarding our own assessment and further actions in the legislative process, such as consultations:

-- Roundtable Meetings for Governments and Regulators
We recently organised two virtual Roundtable Meetings for governments and regulators in December: one in the Middle East and one in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia. Presentations and related information are available here:

-- RIPE NCC Access has a new look
We recently deployed a new version of RIPE NCC Access:

The new interface is leaner, and its performance has been improved. This is part of a greater effort to unify and improve user experience across all of our platforms. We hope you like it!

-- NWI-10: Phase 1 Implemented
In December, we implemented phase 1 of NWI-10: Definition of Country. ORGANISATION objects with "org-type:" 'LIR' have been updated to include a new "country:" attribute and the Extended Delegated Statistics has been updated when there was a mismatch between the file and this new attribute:
