OUT-OF-REGION ROUTE(6) OBJECTS IN THE RIPE DATABASE
The RIPE Database Working Group has reached consensus on a work item
relating to out-of-region ROUTE(6) objects in the RIPE Database.
Ordinary queries will no longer return these objects, which will move
under a new "RIPE-NONAUTH" source tag to support those who rely on these
objects for their BGP configurations.

GDPR AND THE RIPE DATABASE

CORRECT CONTACT INFORMATION
Please check in https://my.ripe.net that you have the right people
registered as account users. Ensuring the right people have access to
your RIPE NCC account is important for dealing with the RIPE NCC. It is
also good practice to remove users who have left your company or who no
longer need to interact with the RIPE NCC.

MEMBERSHIP DISCUSSION MAILING LIST CHANGES
We have made it easier to unsubscribe from the members-discuss mailing list:

- By sending a mail with the subject "unsubscribe" to

- By clicking a personalised unsubscribe link that appears in the footer

OpenIPmap
OpenIPmap, the RIPE NCC’s tool for geolocating core Internet
infrastructure, has undergone a full architectural overhaul. Read all

FINAL CHANCE TO APPLY FOR RACI
The RIPE Academic Cooperation Initiative (RACI) covers the cost of
flights, accommodation and meeting tickets for selected academics to
present their research at RIPE, ENOG, MENOG and SEE meetings. The
deadlines to apply have been updated to align with the calls for
presentations for these events:

MENOG 18 (25-26 April, Tehran): apply by 25 February

ENOG 15 (4-5 June, Moscow): apply by 4 March

RIPE FELLOWSHIP AT RIPE 76 - NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
The RIPE Fellowship provides financial support for a RIPE Meeting
ticket, travel and accommodation. Our aim is to remove the financial
barriers that could prevent in-person participation and make the meeting
more inclusive. The application deadline is Friday, 6 April at 18:00
UTC. We accept applications from people in our service region:

MENOG 18, TEHRAN
MENOG 18 will take place in Tehran from 25-26 April 2018. The Call for

THE NEW BGP LOOKING GLASS IS HERE
Our efforts to revamp the RIS system (http://ris.ripe.net) are showing
results. The new Looking Glass data call is fully supported and in
production. The data is based on 14 collector locations and more
locations will be added in the coming weeks.
