[ncc-announce] [news] IANA Numbering Services Review Committee Members

Dear colleagues,

The IANA Numbering Services Review Committee will assist and advise the 
NRO Executive Council when it conducts periodic reviews of the services 
that the IANA Numbering Services Operator provides to the Internet 
Number Community. The committee was required as part of the Internet 
Number Community's proposal to replace US Government oversight of the 
IANA functions and will become active upon completion of the transition 
process. More detail can be found in the IANA Numbering Services Review

The representatives from the RIPE NCC service region on the committee 
will be the two community-elected NRO Number Council (NC) members and 
one RIPE NCC staff member who will be appointed for a three-year term by 
the RIPE NCC Executive Board. This approach was first proposed by the 
RIPE Chair in September 2015:

The RIPE community members who will initially serve on the IANA 
Numbering Services Review Committee are:
- Filiz Yilmaz (NRO NC)
- Nurani Nimpuno (NRO NC)
- Andrew de la Haye (RIPE NCC staff member)
