Dear RIPE NCC member, The RIPE NCC Executive Board is pleased to invite you to the RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) September 2012. The GM will begin on Wednesday, 26 September. It will be held adjacent to the RIPE 65 Meeting, which takes place from 24-28 September. You can register to attend the GM online at: http://www.ripe.net/gm-sept2012/registration Please complete the online registration as soon as possible. The GM will consist of two parts: - The RIPE NCC Services Working Group will begin at 16:00 (UTC +2) and will include the presentation of the Report from the RIPE NCC. This part of the GM is open to everyone. - The second part of the GM follows immediately after and is open only to RIPE NCC members who have registered for the GM. This part of the meeting is the forum where RIPE NCC members can discuss the operations and activities of the RIPE NCC and exercise their voting rights. At this GM, members will vote on the proposed Charging Scheme 2013 and will discuss the draft RIPE NCC Activity Plan and Budget 2013, which will be published in due course. For the GM, there will be electronic voting for the resolutions. The voting period will begin on Wednesday, 26 September according to the GM agenda and will remain open until 14:00 (UTC +2) on Thursday, 27 September. The Chairman of the Executive Board will then announce the results of the votes on the GM resolutions. Details on the voting procedure for this GM are available at: http://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/september-2012/voting-procedure The GM will be webcast, so all RIPE NCC members will be able to follow proceedings and have time to vote on all resolutions. RIPE NCC members will receive an invitation to register for electronic voting on 22 August 2012. More information about the GM is available at: http://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/september-2012 Registration ============ You must register to attend the GM separately from the RIPE 65 Meeting. As a member, you can attend both the RIPE NCC Services Working Group session and the members-only section of the GM without being registered for the RIPE 65 Meeting. In the event that your organisation is to be represented by a director or an authorised employee, the registration form should state the name(s) of the employee(s) or director(s). If more than one authorised person is to attend the GM, the person who registers first will be assigned the voting rights. Proxy Voting ============ If your organisation is to be represented by a third party, not being an authorised employee or director, please fill out the proxy form and send it to us by 12 September 2012. Any proxy sent to us after this date will not be valid. The proxy form is available to download at: http://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/september-2012/proxy-voting-form Report from the RIPE NCC ======================== The Report from the RIPE NCC presentation will be given during the RIPE NCC Services Working Group session during RIPE 65, which constitutes the first part of the GM. GM attendees who have not registered for the RIPE Meeting are welcome to participate in this working group session. This takes place on Wednesday, 26 September 2012 from 16:00-17:45 (UTC +2), immediately before the members-only section of the GM. The Report from the RIPE NCC presentation will not be repeated in the members-only section of the GM.
