[Apologies for duplicate e-mails.] Dear Colleagues, The second meeting of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is currently in progress. Held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the meeting takes place from 12-15 November, 2007. During the four-day meeting, over 1,500 participants from around the world representing governments, the private sector, academia, the technical community and international organisations will discuss the most important issues related to the Internet. The RIPE NCC is participating in this event as part of the Number Resource Organization (NRO). Sessions ====== Diversity, Openness, Security, Access and Critical Internet Resources are the central issues of the ongoing community debate and all these topics will be discussed. Each topic will be addressed in individual sessions that will be led by a panel of experts. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and make comments. Sessions of specific interest include: - IPv4 to IPv6: Challenges and Opportunities - Critical Internet Resources; DNSSEC: Securing a Critical Internet Resource - Governance Frameworks for Critical Internet Resources.
