Which is, I think, part of the problem here.

The Internet works because many different companies that all compete
with each other business-wise have to cooperate to "make that thing work",
and this is really helped by having people to talk to, get and offer
advice, and so on.

Namely, a community of network folks.


So, I see "community building" and "keep the governments off our backs"
(by outreach, training, etc.) as fundamental pillars of the work the
RIPE NCC does, for all of us.  And we're happy to fund that.

And no, this has nothing to do with how many resources a LIR has.
