Dear Community, i agree with Sebastien. There is actually in actual charging scheme proposals no choice. They are all same. I red yesterday the post from Remco: https://labs.ripe.net/author/remco-van-mook/building-a-stable-future-for-the-ripe-ncc/ And the post from Simon here. The focus is only on ensuring the budget. I find this reasonable. However, ignoring regional and economic differences for years and letting 60-70% of members with very small resources to contribute to the budget the same as a small group of members with 70-80% of all the resources will not ensure stability, in my opinion, on the contrary, it will get worse. I definitely don't think consolidation will increase. Conditions will gradually become more difficult. Moreover, participation barely reached 5% last year, and it seems to be at the same level this year. There are of course reasons for this. I believe that these are not focused on either. I think the way to stabilize the budget of RIPE NCC, as a non-profit organisation, who manages "20B €" worth resource is through a category-based or flat resource based (linear) charging plan. -- Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best Regards Murat TERZIOGLU PREBITS Bochumer Str. 20 44866 Bochum Deutschland Telefon: 0234/58825994 Telefax: 0234/58825995 www.prebits.de info at prebits.de USt-ID: DE315418902 -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: members-discuss <members-discuss-bounces at ripe.net> Im Auftrag von Sebastien Brossier Gesendet: Donnerstag, 11. Options A, B and C are just 3 very similar variants of the same model. An illusion of choice. I understand that the category model was rejected last year, but the fee increase and the ASN fee were rejected too. All viable options should be included. Let the membership decide what works best for them. With kind regards, Sebastien Brossier _______________________________________________ members-discuss mailing list members-discuss at ripe.net https://mailman.ripe.net/ Unsubscribe: https://lists.ripe.net/mailman/options/members-discuss/m.terzioglu%40prebits.de
