This is, if I remember correctly, roughly 10% of the RIPE NCC yearly budget.

Technical services done by IANA in the last few years should boil down
to "maintain a list of resources handed out to RIRs" and "a few times
a year, hand out a block of ASNs or an IPv6 /12".

So, close to one million dollars for that?
