I raised a question in the open house in March. - Why RIPE will not consider raising the cap for the larger LIRs that can actually afford it? The answer was (in my own words) that they are concerned that instead of the tech people being on the board, it would be management on the board in the future. Do you really think strings aren't being pulled from the connections in place? The administrative structure in place is by design.
