[members-discuss] [ncc-announce] [GM] Consultation on RIPE NCC Charging Scheme 2024

Hi ALL!

We have to say that any scheme with categories with boundaries on the
number of IP will be unfair!

In the free market, we now pay for 1 IP and not for a "category". There
are only ONE fair way is to make payments for the number of subnets /24 at
the LIR.

All other ways is to save the budget at the expense of someone. It will be
dishonest because someone has 10,000, another has 12,000, and someone has
1,000,000.

You will never come up with an honest scheme with categories. But you can
enter categories with coefficients for some kind of LIRs. For example 0.3
for educational institutions.

To discuss new scheme and  the price of /24 subnet, at first, directors of
RIPE NCC must give us statistics, about LIRs, they kind and /24 subnets it
gets.
