[members-discuss] [ncc-announce] [news] LIR Account closure? Notify us by 1 December

I also doubt that its legal, that it depends on the working-speed of 
RIPE itself if you need to pay a new year or not.
Even if I send the closure-request on 31. December 23:45 o clock, then 
my request is done in the last year and
every judge will agree. Its not the members problem, if RIPE takes until 
new year to process the request.

Or is there any rule, that me as a member have to accept this process, 
that it depends on the working-speed and "god-will" to accept my documents,
if I need to pay a additional year or not?

Anyways the RIPE will send the invoices for the coming year in February 
or March, so there is still a lot of time for RIPE to exempt LIRs from 
getting invoiced
where a closure process is started before new-year. So I really dont 
understand the reason why make it such complicated.
