Hi, I would disagree that taking broker list down would make things better. Enforcement of contract terms, which was rarely done because of lack of streamlined process - is that too expensive? Does RIPE NCC spend lot of effort doing it? If we can have some online form “report broker malpractice”, wouldn’t that help? I know what we would have soon: an increased address transfer activity with no way for community to verify whether the party is legit. If they are on the list that gives some assurance at least. On the other hand we can always say that market for addresses transfers is not needed, because IPv4 is obsolete, and just move on. We can discuss it at NCC services session in Berlin as well as AP. But I don’t think that taking list down would achieve anything positive at all. Brokers may self-regulate at some point and then that list would serve no purpose but for now it doesn’t harm anyone. — dk@ Disclamer: I had never participated in broker activity and have no need for more IPv4 addresses. > On Dec 14, 2019, at 23:08, Christian Kratzer <ck-lists at cksoft.de> wrote: > > I also see absolutely no value in the list of brokers and the agreements in place. > > Section 6 of the broker agreement says that it can be terminated by either party with a notice period of month. > > Why not just exercise this right and terminate all of these agreements that serve no valid purpose. > > Greetings > Christian > > -- > Christian Kratzer CK Software GmbH > Email: ck at cksoft.de Wildberger Weg 24/2 > Phone: +49 7032 893 997 - 0 D-71126 Gaeufelden > Fax: +49 7032 893 997 - 9 HRB 245288, Amtsgericht Stuttgart > Mobile: +49 171 1947 843 Geschaeftsfuehrer: Christian Kratzer > Web: http://www.cksoft.de/ > > _______________________________________________ > members-discuss mailing list > members-discuss at ripe.net > https://mailman.ripe.net/ > Unsubscribe: https://lists.ripe.net/mailman/options/members-discuss/dk%40hostmaster.ua
