This is not correct. Legacy resources are exempt if not in a LIR account/locked (which does NOT prevent sale/changes) and a LIR can in practice hold purchased PA allocations for a single customer as well (under their data/account) at no additional yearly costs. If you trust the LIR you can also just sign a purchase agreement with them, negating any RIPE need at all. -- William Weber On Fri, Apr 13, 2018 at 02:23, Sascha Luck [ml] wrote: Gert, On Thu, Apr 12, 2018 at 05:47:25PM +0200, Gert Doering wrote: As people join the NCC *only* because it's cheaper to get an IPv4 /22 that way, You know full well that one has to join the RIPE NCC (or some other RIR) in order to register resources even if bought on the "free market". This argument, on its own, doesn't stand. rgds, Sascha Luck _______________________________________________ members-discuss mailing list members-discuss at ripe.net (mailto:members-discuss at ripe.net) https://mailman.ripe.net/ (https://mailman.ripe.net/) Unsubscribe: https://lists.ripe.net/mailman/options/members-discuss/william%40william.si (https://lists.ripe.net/mailman/options/members-discuss/william%40william.si) -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
