Dear RIPE NCC member, Voting for the appointment of two RIPE NCC Executive Board members will take place at the upcoming RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) to be held on Wednesday, 4 May 2011 from 16:00-20:00 at the NL Krasnapolsky Hotel in Amsterdam. The deadline for nominations has now passed. The final shortlist of confirmed candidates is available at: https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/may-2011/board-elections/confirmed-candidates Support for nominations is archived at: http://www.ripe.net/maillists/ncc-archives/agm-nominations/2011/ Registration ------------ You must register for the GM separately from the RIPE 62 Meeting. As a RIPE NCC member, you can attend both the RIPE NCC Services Working Group session and the members-only section of the GM without being registered for RIPE 62. See below for further information on the RIPE NCC Services Working Group session. You can register for the GM online at: https://www.ripe.net/gm-may2011/registration Please complete the online registration form by 23:59 (UTC), 20 April 2011. Proxy Voting ------------ If your organisation is to be represented by a third party who is not an authorised employee or director, please fill out the proxy form and send it to us by 23:59 (UTC), 20 April 2011. Any proxy sent to us after this date will not be valid. The proxy form is available to download at: https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/may-2011/board-elections/proxy-vote-registration-form Electronic Voting ----------------- Electronic voting is available for RIPE NCC members who wish to vote in the RIPE NCC Executive Board elections. If you wish to vote electronically at the GM, you must register to do so by following the instructions in the email that was sent to members on 4 April 2011. If you are a contact person for a RIPE NCC member and did not receive the invitation to register to vote electronically, please email <agm at ripe.net> to let us know. The deadline to register for electronic voting is 23:59 (UTC), 20 April 2011. This is also the deadline for sending a copy of your passport or ID to the RIPE NCC to confirm your registration to vote electronically. If you sent your passport for the 2010 Executive Board elections, you will not need to send it again. You just need to email <agm at ripe.net> to inform us of this. Attendees at the GM can choose to vote by paper ballot or electronically, but they must complete the electronic voting registration by 20 April 2011 if they wish to choose that option. Draft Agenda ------------ The draft agenda for the RIPE NCC GM is available at: https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/ncc/gm/may-2011/agenda Report from the RIPE NCC ----------------------- The Report from the RIPE NCC presentation will be given during the RIPE NCC Services Working Group session at RIPE 62, which constitutes the first part of the GM. GM attendees who have not registered for the RIPE Meeting are welcome to participate in this working group session. This takes place on Wednesday, 4 May 2011 from 16:00-17:30, immediately before the members-only section of the GM. The Report from the RIPE NCC presentation will not be repeated in the members-only section of the GM. Candidate Members and Resolutions --------------------------------- Candidate members are welcome to attend the GM but are not permitted to vote, according to article 16.7 of the RIPE NCC Articles of Association. Full members who are not able to attend the GM but still want to vote can do so by means of proxy voting as per article 16. Please also note that the GM can only pass resolutions that have been submitted and published according to article 15 of the RIPE NCC Articles of Association.
