For those of us (I am sure it is not just me) supporting legacy networks, is there any value in pursueing 'merging' LIRs, or does this process have a detrimental effect on allocations/assignments already made ? Again, I have not had the time to keep up with the latest documents re merges and acquisitions and RIPE. This may be a cost saving for those who are paying almost completely out of our own pockets.
