I know there is thought about harmonizing this procedure but in the interim until all the parts get finalized why not add in a section that states that RIPE will act as an intermediary to ARIN for historic allocations. Right now, when I approach ARIN they tell me to go to RIPE. RIPE does it as an "unofficial service", whereby it takes my SWIP template and passes it onward to ARIN, who then do the change requested. This usually takes 2-4 weeks. I think some text should be added about this - even if it states "to be changed shortly". -Hank >Dear Colleagues, > >This is a reminder that the deadline for comments and suggestions for the >draft in-addr policy document is set for Monday, 24 June 2002.
