POLICY CHANGE REMINDER ====================== During the RIPE 36 meeting in Budapest (16-19 May 2000) the LIR working group agreed upon the following policy change: AS OF THE 1ST OF AUGUST 2000, THE RIPE NCC WILL LOWER THE MINIMUM ALLOCATION SIZE FROM A /19 TO A /20. Allocations of the size /20, will initially be issued from CIDR block 217/8. If you use prefix based filtering in your routers, please note this change. The Minimum Allocation Size does not constrain requests for address space that can justify larger blocks of addresses. For further information regarding sizes of allocations made by the RIPE NCC, please refer to the following RIPE document: ripe-211 - "Size of smallest allocations in CIDR blocks allocated by the RIPE NCC". http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-211.html Best regards, Nurani Nimpuno Registration Services Manager RIPE NCC
