Dear local-ir and lir-wg subscribers, Recent postings to the local-ir mailing list prompted us to change the forwarding mechanism for the incoming mails. Recall that: - local-ir at ripe.net is the list for announcements to all European Local Internet Registries. No other traffic is appropriate on this list. It is a closed list to which all contributing local IRs *have* to be subscribed. Subscription is via the reg database. - lir-wg at ripe.net is the discussion list for Local IR working group matters. This is an open list; subscription is not mandatory. As of today, the local-ir at ripe.net mailing list stops to allow direct postings. All messages sent to that address will be read by the RIPE NCC in order to weed out spam. Only announcements appropriate for local-ir at ripe.net will be sent through. Discussions will be forwarded to lir-wg at ripe.net. SPAM will be discarded. Note that as a consequence of the above, local-ir at ripe.net had to be removed as a recipient of Local IR working group mail. Instead, all members of the local-ir list have been subscribed to the lir-wg at ripe.net list individually. Those who do not desire such a subscription can unsubscribe by sending mail to "majordomo at ripe.net" with the line "unsubscribe lir-wg" in the body of the message. Regards, Rene Wilhelm RIPE NCC Operations
