Good morning everyone, in this light I am wondering two things: - Why did the essential netboot related information (filename / server) never made it into the router advertisements? (I know they exist in dhcpv6) - Would this be the right platform to discuss an extension to router advertisements to include a "boot-url" instead of the legacy server + filename format? The latter is already supported by iPXE for years and as far as I can see, many boot roms are based on iPXE already. Best regards, Nico Fernando Gont <fgont at si6networks.com> writes: > Hello, folks, > > v6ops is WGLC'ing one of the documents > (https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-v6ops-cpe-slaac-renum-01) we > have authored to improve the reaction of SLAAC to renumbering > events.
