<pre wrap="">Hi everyone,
Marco and I have been talking. There is a discussion forming about the
role of the consumer and the role of the manufacturer around protecting
against invasions of privacy, and other security faux pas. What about
the role of the service provider? Can the service provider take a more
direct part in assisting the consumer in protecting themselves, and if
so, what help is needed from manufacturers, CPE vendors, and yes,
companies like mine (Cisco)? What role does/should the government play?
These are some pretty hefty questions. My question to you: is there
interest in such a dialog?
