Dear hackers, due to the ongoing pandemic, in-person meetings and travel are still not possible in Europe... so no hackathons are planned by me for now. I'd like to share with you some interesting initiatives: 0. application for research funding 1. quick survey 2. RIPE82 (virtual) 14-21. May + security challenge :) 3. long read of my articles (Maslow <-> OSI model!) Links below! Stay well, Vesna 0. RACI is now funding projects - apply before 31. May https://www.ripe.net/participate/ripe/raci/raci-project-funding If you'd like to get support for continuing your hackathon project, please get in touch! 1. Well-being survey announcement -- please share!! https://www.ripe.net/ripe/mail/archives/ripe-list/2021-April/002217.html The survey link itself: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JPNJG57 And during RIPE82, a presentation on Monday 17th May, ~11AM CEST https://ripe82.ripe.net/programme/meeting-plan/plenary/ 2. Next RIPE meeting will be virtual again; it's *gratis* to attend; and there will be a CYBER security challenge: https://ripe82.ripe.net/programme/parallel-events/cybersecurity-challenge/ "Would you like to put your hacking skills to the test?" 3. I announced a series of 10 article about RIPE Community resilience & published five till now: https://labs.ripe.net/author/becha/you-are-not-alone-ripe-community-resilience/ ^^^ the first one & the others are linked from it: "The lower the layer on the pyramid of needs is, the more important it is for person’s resilience; however, all layers of the networking stack are equally important for the resilient Internet." You are Not Alone: RIPE Community Resilience RIPE Community Resilience: Physical Layer RIPE Community Resilience: Safety Net RIPE Community Resilience: Network and Belonging RIPE Community Resilience: SYN-ACK, Boundaries and Doing Less coming up: Layer 6: Presentation / Need for beauty (aesthetic) Layer 7: Application / Need for (self) actualisation Layer 8: Financial / Need for Contribution / Community-actualization Layer 9: Political / Need for justice (transcendence / cultural perpetuity)
