unfortunately this seems to be a joke that has (partly...) gone bad.

I never intended to make the WG Peter's LinkedIn buddy.

I have nonetheless found it very amusing that the WG got such an 
invitation as a result of a greedy app maybe that went through Peter's 
addressbook harvesting email addresses - and wanted to play with it a bit.
