Yes. ENUM is a protocol for mapping E.164 telephone numbers into  
domain names under e164.arpa. It's does have an impact on the DNS  
protocol or its implementation. ENUM lookups generally return NAPTR  
records. These are supported in just about every modern DNS  
implementation. BIND is the reference DNS implementation so by  
definition it supports NAPTR records. :-)
