(government, industry working group, etc.)* MII(Ministry of Information Industry) and CNNIC leaded by MII. *Who operates the ccTLD for that country at present?* CNNIC is the ".cn" registry. (i.e. decision, license, concession, agreement, public procurement, etc.) * Not decided. *How will the method of cost recovery for the Tier 1 registry's operations?* A recommendation will be submitted before full deployment. *Will there be more than one Tier 1 provider for the country? * The recommendation is one Tier 1 provider. *Will there be ENUM registrars?* There are two simulative ENUM registrars in the trial. See http://epp.enum.cn. *What will be the ENUM validation technique?* To be defined. *Is there/will there be a special number block for ENUM and/or IP Telephony?* Not decided. *Is there special treatment for unlisted numbers?* Not decided. *Are there any plans for infrastructure ENUM?* Yes, infrastructure ENUM is in the plan. *What is your ENUM WHOIS address?* See http://www.enum.cn/en . *Please provide the history of ENUM trials, projects etc., if any.* 2001, China Network Information Center (CNNIC) started up ENUM research. 2002, MII authorized doing ENUM application experiment and organized ENUM trial consortium, set up leader team and research group of the trial; Science and technology department, MII held the proseminar and decided to apply 6.8.e164.arpa for evolution trial of ENUM top level domain (TLD) ; CNNIC started up and ran 6.8.e164.arpa slave server; CNNIC began to run ONE of SIX ENUM root server (e164.arpa domain server). 2003, CNNIC published ENUM trial system, provided registration and tested resolution performance. 2004, CNNIC originated and joined the APEET (Asia-pacific ENUM Engineering Team). 2005, CNNIC studied ENUM commercial architecture and did experiment on ENUM new services. 2006, CNNIC updated ENUM trial system; studied authorization and authentication of ENUM application. *What are your future plans?
