Hi Bernie, We are intending to include some existing numbers and validation mechanisms that have been mentioned as possibilities are similar to those already being used elsewhere, such as: - Caller-ID verification - SMS verification - Presentation of a bill showing number - Signed declaration - Declaration from Carrier responsible for LNP of the number range However, in Australia we are currently trying to resolve the issue of who has the right to register the number (i.e. the end-user or the service provider). We hope to resolve this shortly as most of the interest in experimenting with ENUM in Aus relies on existing numbers. Other trials have given this right to the end user and it seems that this is the intention of ENUM, however this is not universally accepted.
