Response to the question for Austria +43 1. What is the country and E.164 code? CC +43 The Austrian Numbering and Dialing Plan is open and has variable number lenght N(S)N (both area codes and subscriber numbers). It is defined in the RTR's 6th Ordinance of May 12, 2004 which defines regulations for communication parameters, fees and value-added services (KEM-V). The KEM-V (in German can be downloaded from http://www.rtr.at/web.nsf/englisch/Telekommunikation_Telekommunikationsrecht_Verordnungen_Verordnungen_Kommunikationsparameter_KEM-V The KEM-V defines regarding E.164 numbers the following types of numbersin the number ranges: - geographical numbers (+43 1 to +43 7xxx) - numbers for private networks (+43 5xxxx) - mobile numbers (+43 6xx) - location-independant fixed network numbers (+43 720) - numbers for converged services (ENUM enabled) (+43 780) - free-phone numbers (+43 800) - premium rate and value-added services (+43 8xx and 9xx) 2. Who is the delegate for the E.164 code? With the consent of the Austrian Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology granted on June 7, 2002, RTR is the domain name holder for the national ENUM domain 3.4.e164.arpa in Austria.
