We will collect all input from the WG up to Monday 27th November (the first day of the RIPE Meeting) and announce the results during the DNS WG session at RIPE 87. I know both Dave and Matthijs very well, and it's very clear to me that they would do an excellent job. However. Although I do not know Doris aka Dodo at all, I have to say that the future of this group (as with so many others) depends on having a healthy pipeline of new faces and fresh perspectives. Entertaining as it often is to be part of the crowd of old men shaking our fists at the sky and shouting incoherently (WHAT'S THAT JIM, RCODES, ZONE TRANSFERS, LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT RCODES) the future would be far better served in my opinion if we would all just stay in the bar and let a more competent generation take over the decision-making and getting real work done. I very much hope that more people who know Doris aka Dodo speak up and point the way to a better future, and also that next round we have yet more fresh faces that I don't know, because that to me is what success looks like.
