Lu is complaining that RIPE is rushing the implementation of this NWI and thereby creating a problem where one did not previously exist. Nobody disputes that the root cause lies in Afrinic and ultimately needs to be fixed there, but it is also true that the Internet is supposedly a cooperative effort and that resources from different RIRs are an operational reality (or the possibility of registering foreign resources in RIPEDB wouldn't have existed in the fist place.) There is nothing stupid or unreasonable about asking to delay an action that *will* cause operational issues even if their root cause lies elsewhere. rgds, Sascha Luck
