My question was directed to the wg and the question was simple, should we as wg keep david as co-chair of the DB-WG considering that he has violated the RIPE DB T&C. > 2. Using the e-mail addresses available publicly in the RIPE DB is a violation of its T&Cs. So, you confirm that you, as a company, have purposely violated the RIPE DB T&C? > 3. SPAM is SPAM. <company> is not, has not and will not be your customer, ever. You have crawled the RIPE DB for e-mail addresses that you have added to your mailing list. Either that or you have bought the list from someone that has done the crawling for you and sent unsolicited messages. Both, a violation of the T&Cs. So, if they unsubscribe they give you the confirmation that their e-mail address really exists and someone is really looking at it. Saying that you give them the right to unsubscribe is just what every other SPAMMER does. > Larus never sends spam emails to our customers nor misuse any > operation emails. You are asking me to contact you in private next time he does it. LOL I am sure that what David did was 100% deliberate. He knew he would be spamming and he knew he would violate the T&Cs. The questions stand. I am curious to see what the rest of the wg members think. I also await a response from the RIPE NCC to my question from the previous e-mail. Elvis
