This is done by the perl RPSL object library, Net::Whois::RIPE::RPSL. To add a new attribute as you suggested will require a change to the overall syntax scheme. It is not possible to just add a new attribute to the webupdates form. While we can offer some support to users wishing to install and run the RIPE Database code, on a best effort basis, we don't have the resources to assist with customising it beyond giving some pointers on where to look. I hope this will be of some help to you. Regards Denis Walker Database Group RIPE NCC
