level 4 would be to run random audits on the information present in the
database.

Response time will only influence the time it takes to create or update an
object I never suggested on testing it, it's just a side effect on level 3.

Level 3 only checks the situation at the time of insertion it is in no way
a guarantee to the user that it's still working when he retrieves the
information and as such doesn't add much to just do a syntax check on the
attribute.
