  I guess the best source of information about operational requirements is
  the RIPE NCC, by way of ripe-dbm at ripe.net .
  
  You have to talk to them anyway (to get your mirror configured, and for
  (C) issues), so you could do it right at the beginning of your project,
  I suppose :-)
