Hi Michele, On 13.07.2023 18:33, Michele Neylon - Blacknight via cooperation-wg wrote: > Carsten > > Is there any evidence to the contrary? > > He’s absolutely fixated with Facebook and doesn’t seem particularly > interested in anything else, so maybe he does think that Facebook is the > internet. > > Either way does it really matter? > > The internet is global and we need cross border data flows to work sanely. absolutely! > Schrems doesn’t seem to be particularly interested in finding solutions That is an interesting point of view! Should he be... "...interested to find the European Union and/or a multi-billion company THE solution to their data protection challenges?", I'm inclined to add. I'd rather see him as an EU citizen who has seen his concerns backed by the ECJ - for how many times now? And I'd rather like to see the European Union to eventually come up with a solution that stands in court as it is in line with the current legislation. Or the European Union may seek for a majority to change the current legislation to better fit the needs of a global industry - either way. But telling Max Schrems that with the most recent effort, this time called "EU-US data transfer adequacy", it should now really be done with as enough is enough is a bit of a strange concept for me. All the best, -C.
