Hi all, Once again I would like to share with you some perspective on public-private cooperation, in this case between the EU Law Enforcement Agency (Europol) and its network of private partners. EC3, the EU Cybercrime Centre at Europol, established the Advisory Groups on Financial Services, Internet Security and Communication Providers to foster trust and cooperation between key private sector industries and law enforcement in their joint fight against cybercrime. They meet separately three times a year to share strategic information related to cybercrime threats and trends in their respective business areas, as well as to agree on joint initiatives alongside law enforcement. ==> Here you can find out who are the private partners (perhaps your company is already one!) as well as a bit of context about the activity of these Advisory Groups: https://www.europol.europa.eu/about-europol/european-cybercrime-centre-ec3/ec3-partners. This infographic presents the highlights of last year's cooperation between EC3 and the AG on Internet Security: https://www.europol.europa.eu/sites/default/files/documents/is_a3version.pdf; whereas this one presents you the sum up of all activities carried out between EC3 and the AG on Communication Providers: https://www.europol.europa.eu/sites/default/files/documents/cp_a3version.pdf Last week, network operators from the Advisory Group on Communication Providers met with investigators to discuss the security challenges related to 5G, in particular lawful interception capabilities, cyber threats and investigative challenges. The following day, the Advisory Group on Internet Security gathered to discuss attacks against critical infrastructure and the anatomy of an Advanced Persistent Threat (APT). Investigators presented case studies on different threat actors' Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP), as well as how information sharing with law enforcement can be improved. ==> Here is a link to the original press release: https://www.europol.europa.eu/newsroom/news/ec3-advisory-groups-%E2%80%93-law-enforcement-and-private-sector-meetings-to-discuss-latest-cybercrime-threats-and-challenges Kind regards, Sara Marcolla Europol - O3 European Cyber Crime Centre (EC3) Eisenhowerlaan 73, 2517 KK The Hague, The Netherlands www.europol.europa.eu ******************* DISCLAIMER : This message is sent in confidence and is only intended for the named recipient.
