Dear colleagues, Please see the notice below - I will follow up when the application details are available, but in the meantime, I am happy to answer any questions that RIPE community members might have about this role (as, I’m sure, could those community members who have previously served on the MAG). Cheers Chris —— Dear colleagues, This note is to inform you that ISOC is facilitating the organisaton of a selection process to identify individuals from the Internet technical community in response to the call for nominations to the 2017 Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG). It is understood that other processes, including self-nominations from individuals of the technical community may occur at the same time. Details about this process and how to nominate will follow shortly, as the NomCom is currently being formed, but we wanted to let you know that this is underway as soon as possible given the short time-frame between the UN’s announcement and the deadline for nominations. Please keep an eye out on this list for more information. About the MAG The purpose of the Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) is to advise the U.N. Secretary General on the programme and schedule of the Internet Governance Forum meetings. The MAG comprises of 55 Members from governments, the private sector and civil society, including representatives from the academic and technical communities. Those nominated should expect to attend two virtual MAG meetings per month as well as typically three face to face meetings per year.
