[cooperation-wg] The EU, ICANN and maybe the Internet

Hi Gordon, all, 

Thank you for highlighting this - indeed, a lot happening in Brussels next week, and the RIPE NCC will be in the thick of it! A couple of points (in chronological order for the week): 

- There are a couple of events on Monday and Tuesday dedicated to planning for EuroDIG 2016 (which will take place in Brussels in June): a meeting of the institutional partners (which currently includes the RIPE NCC) on Monday afternoon, and the annual open planning event on Tuesday. The Tuesday meeting is OPEN and will have remote participation, so anyone with an interest in helping shape what the EuroDIG agenda looks like is encouraged to follow or contribute to the discussion:

- The RIPE NCC Roundtable Meeting for Governments and Regulators is again taking place in Brussels on Wednesday, and as with previous events, the presentation slides and a report on the meeting will be made available (with links sent to this list). The agenda is available now at:

- Several RIPE NCC staff (as well as staff from other RIRs) will be attending the meeting of the Public Safety Working Group (PSWG) of the Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) of ICANN. This is the RIPE NCC’s first engagement with this group (at the group’s invitation) and we will be reporting back to the community on our involvement in this event and any involvement with the GAC PSWG going forward.
