Here's a fairly interesting piece here about the upcoming IGF and ITR meetings: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/aug/22/fight-control-internet-become-critical Shame about the hype about "secretive UN agencies" and "ITU to take over the interweb" threads though. This might be because of the author's affiliation. YMMV.
