Hi everyone,
I want to repeat the "welcome" message sent to the mailing list,
in a hope that the archiving problem has been fixed.
Apologies for the duplicated content...
Have a good weekend!

Dear colleagues,
I made yet-another-mailing-list to be able to reach all the sponsors
in an easier way -- and to give you guys yet another forum to discuss
Atlas-related features.
(if you don't like the idea, please let me know, and I will
re-consider my communications approaches...)
The good news for *us* is that there is more and more interest for
sponsorship :)
And I also have many good news for you:
Functionality:
==============
- we have enabled all the sponsors to use the membership-only feature
"Test your IPv6":
https://atlas.ripe.net/atlas/ipv6_traces.html
- the administration of your sponsored probes is now easier:
we "earmark" all your probes before we ship them to you,
so you can actually see all your probes, even if they are not plugged in
yet. The status can be "never seen" (or "up" or "down").
- by making the transfer of credits easier, you can now redistribute
huge amounts of credits you earn from sponsored probes to the people
who are going to actually use them for the measurements.
- if you are adopting the probes, now you can choose the best candidates
from those that are "always up", on our new "Community" page:
https://atlas.ripe.net/atlas/community
Promotion:
==========
All your logo's are now visible on two pages: atlas.ripe.net home page,
and atlas.ripe.net/sponsors
In the near future, we are going to publish "sponsor" information on the
www.ripe.net/atlas instead: it will look prettier, but less geeky ;-)
I did mention two new sponsors per month in the previous editions of the
road-map-update on RIPE Labs:
https://labs.ripe.net/Members/becha/ripe-atlas-roadmap-october-2012-update
https://labs.ripe.net/Members/becha/ripe-atlas-roadmap-september-2012-update
Some of the new ideas on how we can promote your organization's
sponsorship are: jointly print the flier that you will give to your
"hosts", with your logo included, alongside with ours; or print a small
sticker with your logo that can be added to the probe itself...
If you like one of these ideas, or have some more, please let me know!

Mailing list: https://www.ripe.net/mailman/listinfo/atlas-sponsors
- if you prefer that some other colleague of yours is subscribed to this
list, please let me know!
While we were preparing for this "sponsors newsletter", we noticed
several areas of improvement for our own administrative procedure.
And we also have quite "old" sponsors, since 2010... so the procedures
have changed with time.
If you notice that you are missing anything from us, please let me know!
I will be announcing each one of the new sponsors to this list...
Regards,
Vesna
