Thanks to Dave Crocker for relaying in both directions.
The comments from the Cox team would cause the new RIPE BCP to be
substantially different from the LINX source. Obviously my preferred
way forward is to get this one in place first; I believe that is
better than waiting perhaps another year with only the 1999 version
available.
This is a consensus process, and the question for consensus this week
is whether there is anything so bad in the update that we must fork
from the LINX BCP immediately and fail to publish anything at all next
week. Both these comments and Peter Håkanson's reaction to them look
to me more like important input to the next version, which we can
start on as soon as this one is published.
So I still propose that the update goes ahead, with very little
additional change from the annotated draft at
