Have you thought about using Mailman mailing list manager?
Presents data such as dave.topping@localhost as dave.topping at
flextel.com, so that spambots can't harvest.

Subject: crippling mail archives
Dear Colleagues,
The RIPE NCC has noted what appears to be an increase of people scraping our
mail archives for email addresses to be used as From: in spams. The
advantage of this being that email addresses in the archives are generally
subscribed to a particular list and thus pass any aditional checks we do.
Although we have discussed it before, we would like to bring the issue of
crippling our mail archives up for discussion again, as we are in the
process of evaluatiing new mail setups to replace our current setup.
We have several questions:
1) Do we want to cripple the archives?
2) If so, how do we do this? Do we remove domains? restrict it to members
only? etc.
3) If we dont cripple them, how do we prevent them from being scraped?
Your advice/comments are, as always, much appreciated :)
Cheers,
Mally Mclane
