I'm not too sure about this; it's really useful to be able to subscribe a
local group alias to a list without having to wait for manual acceptance.

This facility should, at least, be restricted to the members of the list.

Again, this causes a problem where local aliases rather than individual
users are subscribed to the list; I don't really want to have to remember to
edit my "From" header just so that it appears to come from our local alias
(which is subscribed to the list) rather than from myself (who isn't).  This
same problem was discussed at RIPE-28 with regard to the other RIPE mailing
lists.
