To understand the size of the problem i will compare the loss in man-days of a terrórist attack ( 9/11 ) with the loss of human time spam causes : 2100 lifes, est remaining lifettime 40 years will ad up to 30660000 man-days 5 spam per day, each taking 1 s of our time, this for 1 billion ( 1000000000 ) users will cost 21122685.5 mandays per year! I do not mean to reduce the impact of several thousend deat's, thats a huge number of tragic events. But we loose about the same amount of time dealing with spam IN ONE YEAR as the total loss of human time for all these victims ! How much effort is spent on terror-fighting ? How much is spent on spam-fighting ? Which will give us back the most time ? We need, in my opinion, to see the real size of the spam-problem and accept that we all need to contribute to eleminate the problem. Not just talk. Suggestions ? -- Peter Håkanson There's never money to do it right, but always money to do it again ... and again ... and again ... and again. ( Det är billigare att göra rätt. Det är dyrt att laga fel. )
