Dear colleagues, At RIPE 66, we informed the Address Policy Working Group that an increasing number of members were asking to change the status of their inetnum objects from “ASSIGNED PI” to “ALLOCATED PA”. After RIPE 66, the discussion continued on this mailing list. Here, a lot of support was expressed for allowing LIRs to change the status of their resources, provided they are correctly registered with the RIPE NCC to the same legal entity that is registered as an LIR. Based on this input, we have now published the procedure to allow assignments to be converted: https://www.ripe.net/lir-services/resource-management/converting-pi-to-pa Kind regards, Andrea Cima Registration Services Manager RIPE NCC
