Working diligently on one particular solution is not the same thing.

If you've investigated other approaches to inhibiting route hijacking
and discarded them, please share.

If you've merely assumed that this is the only/best/obvious/~ approach,
I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest we should pause to see if we
can come up with something else that doesn't turn control of routing
from a distributed to a hierarchical system.
