The rest of the world probably won't doubt that this is a legitimate
announcement, but could I suggest that future messages of this form:

     1. originate from an "@afrinic.net" email address,
     2. are digitally signed with either an appropriate X.509
        certificate or else a PGP key which is also signed by another
        RIR or two, and
     3. attach the sender's full name and contact details.

It takes very little for some 3l33t h4x0r to forge emails like this, and
while the consequences are not in any way terminal, it would mean a lot
of egg on a lot of peoples' faces.
