the problem is that you then apparently had access to routable space. 
Which not everyone has today. It's been done for other services, and it 
has been done for DNS for a long time. And yes, we should find a 
solution for other people wanting to do anycast as well. But in most 
cases, I suspect that they already have access to other sources of 
address space.
