1. What We're Doing For You

Number of LIRs: 23,635 (-69)
LIRs with IPv6: 16,127 (-19)
IPv4 Addresses Transferred in April: 1,155,968 (-990,336)


-- RIPE NCC General Meeting Results
Congratulations to Job Snijders and Piotr Strzyżewski for being elected to the RIPE NCC Executive Board.

The membership adopted three resolutions during the meeting including the RIPE NCC Financial Report 2020, Charging Scheme 2022 and discharged the Executive Board with regard to its actions as they appear from the Annual Report 2020 and Financial Report 2020.


-- What Happened at RIPE 82?
RIPE 82 took place from 17-21 May 2021 and saw 1,172 people registered, of whom 274 were newcomers, and had an average of 550 viewers per day. You can catch up on the meeting highlights by reading our daily meeting report:

-- Information for Members with Outstanding Invoices
The Standard Service Agreement (SSA) and/or LIR Account Agreements (LAA) of members who have an outstanding invoice issued in February 2021 will be automatically terminated on 15 June 2021. On this date, we will also start the de-registration process for the Internet resources held by these LIR accounts. If you would like to check the payment status for your LIR account(s), you can do so in the LIR Portal or by using the payment link on your invoice. You will soon receive a separate email on this topic.


-- Microlearning: New in the RIPE NCC Academy
The RIPE NCC Academy now offers you short, bite-sized lessons that you can complete in under 15 minutes. Our first tiny tutorials are on the ping and traceroute commands:

At the RIPE NCC, we get lots of requests for assistance from people dealing with online abuse. In this article, we clarify how you can use our tools to help resolve abuse issues, but also what you can do when further steps need to be taken:

-- RACI Project Funding
We invite academic and research institutes in the RIPE NCC service region to apply for funding to work on projects in these areas:
- Apply machine learning and big data analytics to the collected routing data to identify and predict trends
- Apply and customise big data visualisation frameworks to the collected routing data to better display the data to users

The new RIPEstat UI brings big changes to the look and feel of RIPEstat. It's an updated, clean, responsive design built on a modern framework and equipped with a whole host of new features:

-- New Look for the RIPE Database and LIR Portal
We deployed a new look for the RIPE Database and LIR Portal to match the UX/UI guidelines of the RIPE NCC applications. There was no change in functionality:

-- Improvements to the RIPE Atlas Datasets on Google BigQuery
We've been publishing RIPE Atlas measurement results publicly on Google BigQuery since late last year. Now, with a little more experience under our belts, we're improving the ways we expose public data on the platform:

--- May 2021 NRO NC Election Results
James Kennedy has been elected to the Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC), following Filiz Yilmaz's decision to step down from her seat as of 31 May 2021.

James will begin his term on 1 June 2021 and his term will end on 31 December 2022.
