Dear RIPE NCC members,

Meeting season is almost upon us. SEE 11 will take place from 4-5 April in Split, Croatia, and we will follow that up with RIPE 86 from 22-26 May in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. We will also have our RIPE NCC General Meeting alongside RIPE 86 from 24-26 May in Rotterdam. We hope to see many of you at one (or all) of these upcoming events!

Our RPKI Publication as a Service has moved from open beta to production service. RPKI users can use this service to run their Certificate Authorities in “hybrid RPKI” mode:

The call for applications is open for the RIPE NCC Community Projects Fund. Through the Fund, the RIPE NCC supports projects that work toward the good of the Internet. -- RIPE Policy Proposals
– New Version of Policy Proposal 2023-01
Version 2.0 of RIPE Policy Proposal 2023-01, “Reducing IXP IPv4 assignment default size to a /26”, has been submitted for discussion in the Address Policy Working Group. This proposal aims to reduce the default size of IPv4 assignments for IXPs from a /24 to /26. In this version, IXPs are not required to implement the exchange of IPv4 routing information over IPv6 before requesting an assignment larger than a /24. -- New Policy Proposal 2023-03
RIPE Policy proposal 2023-03, “Voluntary Transfer Lock”, has been submitted for discussion in the RIPE NCC Services Working Group. The goal of this proposal is to allow resource holders whose resources are registered with the RIPE NCC to lock them from being transferred for a certain amount of time. -- RIPE IPv6 Policy Discussion Session
The RIPE Address Policy Working Group will be holding an interim session to discuss IPv6 policy goals on 11 April at 15:30 (CEST), 13:30 (UTC). This session will follow up on the previous discussion session on 20 February:

4. Organisational Update
-- Voting Registration for the RIPE NCC General Meeting
Registration is open for the RIPE NCC General Meeting (GM) taking place alongside RIPE 86 from 24-26 May in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. At the GM, members will be able to vote on the RIPE NCC Executive Board election, the Charging Scheme 2024, the adoption of the RIPE NCC Financial Report 2022 and the discharge of the Executive Board. Voting registration is open until 24 May at 14:30 (CEST), 12:30 (UTC):

-- Consultation on RIPE NCC Charging Scheme 2024
The RIPE NCC has an ongoing consultation with the membership on the Charging Scheme model for 2024. We have proposed two models so far for members to review. Members are asked to provide their input on the Membership Discussion mailing list <members-discuss at ripe.net> by 26 April for the Board to consider ahead of the upcoming GM:

-- Recording of RIPE NCC Charging Scheme Open House
We held an Open House on 21 March to discuss the possible models for the RIPE NCC Charging Scheme with members. Our Chief Financial Officer Simon-Jan Haytink presented the models and explained in more detail how they would work. We are reviewing the proposed models in light of the discussion at this Open House and on our mailing lists. -- Call for Nominations to the RIPE NCC Executive Board
There will be an election to fill three RIPE NCC Executive Board seats at the GM on 24-26 May 2023. Each seat is for a three-year term. The RIPE NCC is calling for nominations to fill these seats. See the requirements and how to nominate someone at:
