Number of LIRs: 23,826 (+41)
Number of members: 20,237 (-59)
LIRs with IPv6: 16,588 (+25)
IPv4 addresses transferred in November: 944,512 (-175,448)

-- Handling LIR Closure Requests
Please note that any valid request received by the RIPE NCC to close an LIR account made before the end of 2021 means that the account in question will not be charged in 2022. We ask you to kindly complete closure requests, policy transfers and notifications of changes in business structure in time and as soon as possible so we avoid sending the automated invoice in Q1 2022:

-- Revised RIPE PDP Process 
The draft document for the revised RIPE Policy Development Process (PDP) was discussed at RIPE 83. The RIPE NCC has released the updated draft with the changes highlighted at:

The RIPE Chair Team will host an online session to discuss the PDP changes on 26 January 2022 from 15:00-16:30 UTC. The agenda and meeting details will follow on the ripe-list.

-- RIPE Task Forces - Definition and Guidelines: Last Call
The RIPE Chair Team sent a last call for comments on a draft document that describes what a RIPE Task Force is and how it usually operates:

-- Rob Blokzijl Inducted in Internet Hall of Fame
Rob Blokzijl, one of the founders of RIPE, was inducted posthumously into the Internet Hall of Fame in recognition of his contribution to the development of the Internet:

After receiving feedback on the draft we shared with the community before RIPE 83, we have now published our final Activity Plan and Budget 2022. This document outlines our plans for 2022, along with the associated costs. You can read the Activity Plan at:

-- RIPE NCC Certified Professionals Exam Voucher Validity
You have until Friday, 31 December 2021 to use your RIPE NCC Certified Professionals exam vouchers. You can still schedule an exam for 2022, but you need to do it before the deadline.

-- Holiday Hours
The RIPE NCC office will be closed on Friday, 24 December and Friday, 31 December.
