RIPE NCC and EuroDIG Strengthen Commitment to Multistakeholder Internet Governance with New MoU

The RIPE NCC and the EuroDIG have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reaffirming their commitment to collaborative efforts in Internet governance. This MoU signifies their ongoing collaboration to promote Internet coordination activities.

The MoU was signed by Hans Petter Holen, RIPE NCC Managing Director, and Sandra Hoferichter, Secretary General of EuroDIG, during the EuroDIG 2024 meeting.

This renewed MoU marks the continuation of a partnership between the two organisations that began with the inception of EuroDIG and will replace the previous agreement. Hans Petter Holen, Managing Director of RIPE NCC congratulated Sandra on a successful event and expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed partnership.

Sandra Hoferichter, Secretary General of EuroDIG, also commented on the agreement: “The EuroDIG always valued the RIPE NCC as an important institutional partner. We welcome the contribution of the technical community in policy-related discussions at the EuroDIG”.

The online ceremony at EuroDIG 2024 provided a fitting backdrop for renewing the commitment to the multistakeholder model of Internet governance. It emphasised the importance of the technical community and Internet coordinating bodies playing a pivotal role in shaping public policy, ensuring the Internet remains a secure, stable, and resilient global network.
